A Poem: Fxck Florida & Flat Earth
5.18.23
Flat Earth.
Flat lunged.
I couldn't breathe. The sky
cerulean shocked
white cotton clouds
within reach. Unlike
the mystery Sonoran star-scape,
these heavens were a rubber skullcap
suffocating
hopes and dreams. I could see
for miles
ahead. And
behind. And
beside. No
sentinel mountains guardians
gone. No
glittering mirages or
valleys of gold.
I was adrift at sea
in the backseat cruising
down
America's
shaft.
